Now this is just to get an idea on what to expect if one of the Immigration bills passes and signed in to law say by mid 2007.
What can we expect next?
What will happen to highly retrogressed countries like Indian, China? When can they expect any tangible results?
What will happen to the �Rest of the World� category? When do you think they can expect results?
What will happen if ALL or Most of the catagories become current. Are we going to get stuck with processing delays for months or years to come ?

Husband and wife can be on thier application as principal and dependant applicants on each other's application from their respective company

Looks like I misunderstood your situation, you will be paid from Canada but working from a remote location ... somewhere in US. This will be tricky as H-1 visa requires an US employment whereas H-4 does not permit working at all. Perhaps a lawyer can explain.

What happens, once he moves to the new employer and his present employer withdraws I-140? For any subsequent H1 transfers/extensions will he will need to have an approved I-140, which is not withdrawn ?
Could there be issues, if new employer does a lay off what happens when perm/i-140 is pending or not filled yet

Pre-adjudication as a policy started in early 2006 especially at the NSC resulting in tons of "pending demand" cases just before the fiasco.
Coming to the present time, with several receiving RFE's when their PD's are not current, I would suspect that many would en-masse get their GC when DoS moves the dates forward substantially compared to now.

I am never happy with my footer and still am not happy with it; I wish kirupa allowed music because transition effect like the ones in my footer went to a techno track but I took it out before I published it :*(, so I will most likely update it later today and a totally maxed out version on monday. ITIN is not meant for work. You cannot substitute ITIN for SSN. As I posted before you can apply for SSN and start working with out waiting for SSN.

Is FP Prepone possible
If possible, can someone tell me if you had to call them in advance to go before your scheduled date for your FP. I am in a similar situation where I am travelling to India on 11/14 and the appointment is on 11/17. I do not want to postpone the appointment as it might take a long time to receive again.
If you had to call can some one tell me which number to call. All my receipts, EAD and appointment were received from TSC and the ASC field office is in Tampa, FL. If you did not have to call, then do we just go there in the morning and have our FP done. Any inputs appreciated.

Agreed. I registered already on change.gov.
I voted on this. But I did not see any vote for elimination of country qouta in EB immigration system. We need that topic on change.gov and should vote heavily in favour of it.

Normally,
1. The Consulting company and client has an agreement; that they can not hire a person for 6- 12 months. (agreement is different from company to company).
2. Some times you have signed and BOND with consulting company; that you will not join the client for 2 years after you resign from the comapany.
3. You are try to spoil the relation. I urge you to tell the consulting comapny before you leave and join the client.
They can not revoke 140 so there is no harm to your 485. be careful of counting 485 filing date.

We are in the same boat as you guys. Our lawyers said that the receipt date on the receipt notice is imp. The others can be ignored.
