Sony acquires Mankatha for a whopping amount

Come on all Thala fans lets rejoice………brings you record breaking news for all the fans of Thala.

According to the close sources of Sony BMG it is known that audio rights of Mankatha have been acquired by them for a whopping amount. The audio and the film have already raised the expectations of the audiences including the audio marketers. Sony is well known for its substantial sound quality and now Mankatha in the hands of Sony BMG is expected to have stunning quality of music. Yuvan’s music is going to rock and it was already proved many times earlier.

As Yuvan is busy with his other projects the audio launch got postponed. It was earlier decided by the filmmakers that the release of music on May 1st, 2011 for the occasion of Thala’s birthday. The audio launch is likely to take place during second or third week of May.

Editor Anthony out from Nanban

Director Shankar’s prestigious project Nanban is all set to start the next schedule very soon.

Meanwhile it is known that Editor Anthony is out from Nanban team. The reasons for this are still to be known and also the details of the person who is going replace Anthony is kept under wraps. The media is at a buzz about the editor being out and this has stunned many in Kollywood. Now it is director Shankar who needs to clear the air about this issue.

Nanban is not only the remake of the 2009 Bollywood film 3 Idiots, directed by Rajkumar Hirani but also it is loosely adapted from the novel Five Point Someone written by Chetan Bhagat. The film features Vijay, Jeeva, Srikanth and Ileana in the lead roles.

Music is by Harris Jayraj while Manoj Paramahamsa is designated as the cinematographer. Gemini Film Circuits is producing this mega budget film.

Hansika in Vijay’s next

Vijay’s next project after Velayudham, Nanban and Ponniyin Selvan is Pagalavan. This is a social revolutionary movie director by Seeman. For quite sometime now there is no buzz about the film but latest we hear is that the heroine has been finalized.

It is Hansika Motwani once again who is going to star opposite Vijay. Both of them are currently acting in Velayudham directed by Jayam Raja. Hansika has turned busy even before her debut in Tamil. Her debut film Mappillai was released today and she is receiving positive response from his fans and film buffs. The beauty turned as the hottest asset in tinsel town. The actress is very much happy pairing with mass hero like Vijay for the second time and felt it as great honor.

By sharing the screen space with top names like Dhanush, Vijay, Jayam Ravi and Udhayanidhi Stalin the market value of the actress is surely going to increase.

Kalaipuli S.Dhanu is producing the film. The rest of the details are yet to be finalized.

Ajith to star in Jayam Raja’s next?

The heroes in Kollywood are very fast in terms of their career as one after the other are signing the films even before the present project gets wrapped up.

It was Suriya who has accepted to do a film with director Hari. Now latest we hear is that Thala Ajith who is busy with his current project Mankatha got attracted to Jayam Raja’s script and will be joining hands with him for this project. It was earlier revealed that director Venkat Prabhu will be doing a project with Vijay and Ajith but there is no buzz on this front. So in the mean time Jayam Raja decided to cast Ajith in his next film after Velayudham.

As of now Ajith is busy with Mankatha and after this he will be moving to Billa 2 directed by Chakri Toleti. Gossip is that Thala will be starting his project with Jayam Raja once he completes his prior projects.

Ponnar Shankar on April 15

Prashanth turned very busy these days with his film Ponnar Shankar as he himself is taking special care in each every aspect of the film. Prashanth birthday has happen recently but he was unable to celebrate the birthday as he is busy with the films release date.

Ponnar Shankar is given U certificate and now the film got the gate pass for the big screens. Ponnar Shankar is written by Kalaignar and is based on the life history of two twin brothers Ponnar and Shankar of the Kongu Nadu region. Divya Parameswaran and Pooja Chopra are the female leads in this magnum opus. Apart from them Sneha, Khushboo, Napoleon, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Vadivelu, Seetha, Bhanu, Riyaz Khan and others play the supporting cast.

Prashanth said to a newspaper “It’s going to be a double bonanza for me as I am going to celebrate my birthday on the day the film releases”.

Ilayaraja has scored the music and the audio was launched by Kalaignar very recently. Ponnar Shankar is scheduled to hit the screens on April 15.

Kamal’s Viswaroobham hits a hurdle

Director Selvaraghavan’s next venture Viswaroobham after Irandam Ulagam is scheduled for its first clap in the mid of April.

The actual plan of Selva is to start the first schedule shoot in US for 40 days. But things seem to have turned unlucky for the unit as the Visas for the actors and technicians were rejected by the US Embassy. It is heard that the cast and crew have applied for the Visa for a 40 day schedule but after having a look at the profiles of the team, the Visa has been rejected. The director got upset with this latest development as his plan of having the first schedule in US has gone in vain.

Now Selvaraghavan has got back to his Irandam Ulagam camp as he was disturbed with this (non) issue. Kamal and Selva are now trying to get Visa for the team and hope the problem gets solved very soon.

Anushka in Rajinikanth’s Rana

It is finally Anushka, who has made it to Rajinikanth’s Rana. After considering several top league heroines, the film-makers have finalized Anushka as one of the leading lady.

We have come across the names of many heroines such as Rekha, Vidya Balan, Ileana etc.While none of the other ladies were finalized, Anushka is joining the cast of this mega budget film. Buzz in Tollywood is that she has been approached by two big project makers. Sources reveal that Anushka was asked whether she can perform a prominent role in Rana. To our surprise the actress has accepted to do the role and she will shake her Superstar Rajini very soon.

Apart from Rana she was asked to do the female lead in the Tamil remake of Dabbang opposite Simbhu. Anushka is also the leading lady in Nagarjuna’s next project Damarukam. The actress is making good number of projects in Telugu as well as in Tamil opposite big stars.

Actress Sakshi who made her mark at the South Indian box office with Puthaiyal, Vedam, and Manasthan is planning to make a come back on big screen.

Vaanam’s single track choreography costs 25 lakhs

The audio of Vaanam which was released a week ago has seen stupendous success as all the songs are peppy and dancing numbers.

The shooting of Vaanam has finished recently with the final song composed on Simbu and Anushka. The single track of Vaanam which received a great response is still topping the charts. Though the track Yevende Unna pethan doesn’t carry any inner meaning but its sure going to set fire on big screens with Simbu’s dance moves. The specialty of the song is that it’s being choreographed by Bollywood ace dance choreographer Ahmed Khan. To our surprise he has charged a whopping amount of Rs 25lakhs just for this song. While many choreographers in Kollywood are charging approximately two lakhs rupees for choreographing a song in the film.

Now the eagerness has been increased more and waiting for the film to hit the silver screens.
