Mila Kunis and Natalie Portman Dropped Weight for Black Swan

Natalie Portman put in a lot of time prepping for her role as a dancer in a black swan.

"I started training one year ahead," said Portman, USA TODAY's Andrea Mandell how she reached her lithe dancer build, perform ballet in the teens wear in the movie. "We (do), 5-8 hours a day, ballet and cross-training with swimming and toning."

Two months before filming, Portman began intensive work on the film choreography, but she had already been scaling back their diet.

"I did not want to stop eating, I have reduced my portion size," she said, noting that it was relieved to start eating regularly-shoot. "I did not really cut anything out, I just ate a lot less than I would normally."

Kunis has already lowered her tiny frame at 95 pounds for her role. Her first splurge post-shoot: Panda Express. "It was at the airport (at JFK)," she said. "It was the biggest meal I think I've ever had in my life!"
